'My Friend Pinto' tribute to all comedians: Prateik

Mumbai, Oct 1 (IANS) 'My Friend Pinto' is a tribute to the art and genius of all comedians of the world, said Bollywood actor Prateik on his upcoming film.

'All of us together can say that for all the comedians of the world, be it Mr. Bean, Roberto Benigni or Raj Kapoor, this film is like a tribute to their art and genius,' Prateik told reporters here.

The 24-year-old forayed into Bollywood with Aamir Khan's 'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na' and so far has mostly been seen in intense roles in movies like 'Dhobi Ghat' and 'Dum Maaro Dum'.

This is Prateik's first solo lead film and stars Kalki Koechlin in a pivotal role and according to him, the character 'Pinto' is completely opposite to his real life.

'I don't mess things too much. I mess up a little whereas he is always messing up things,' Prateik said.

Directed by Raghav Dar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie releases Oct 12.
