It's been more than a year since we saw Mouli Ganguly in Resham Dank. She has been completely out of the radar since then. And now she is back to television with Sony’s new serial Aathvaan Vachan.

In the serial, Mouli gets married to a very understanding accommodating and successful guy Aadesh, played by Vishal Singh. “The serial is all about how my life changes after marriage, how my relations change and how I am accepted in my new family”, explains Mouli for whom this will be the first chance to work in a Rose Movies production. “There is a lot of genuineness and charm in working with Rose Movies. I am exploring it now!”, says a proud Mouli.
After her much-hyped serial Resham Dankh bombed, Mouli has become extra careful. “There was a lot of publicity done for the serial and since it was based on a novel, the coverage it got was far more than an ordinary one. But few weeks down the line we realized that the script was not leading anywhere and that is when a decision to stop it was taken”, she says.
What was she up to in the last one year? “I did two films in the last few months – 68 Pages and It's a Man’s World. The second one is a documentary, while the first one is a feature film. I was busy with these films and also doing a play called Kahani Mein Twist”, says the choosy girl.
Mouli also reveals that she got two offers from Balaji Telefilms to play Bani in Kasamh Se and a key role in Kyunki. "I was not convinced with the shows and the roles and thus declined with thanks. However, the real tempting offers to decline are the reality shows. I got an offer for Nach Baliye, but said no. These shows have a lot of orchestrated histrionics like people crying at the drop of a hat. I did not want to be part of that and thus said No to these shows”, explains Mouli.
There have been rumors about Mouli dating actor Mazhar Sayyed. Is it true? A smiling Mouli responds, “I am not that kind of a girl who will date someone and get married to someone else. If I am going around with someone I would like to ensure that our bonding is strong enough for the entire life. It is true that Mazhar and I are seeing each other. Before anyone got to know about us, we told our parents. Right now we are giving time to our respective careers”, concludes Mouli.
