Mohena Singh talks about the cutest reactions that she got on her pregnancy news and more

Mohena Singh, who charmed the audiences with her stint as choreographer and as an actress in projects like Dil Dosti Dance and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is all set to enter into a new phase of her life. She is expecting her first baby. Mohena recently announced her pregnancy on social media.

India Forums got in touch with the beautiful mom-to-be and asked her about her pregnancy journey. Read on to know more:

When did you find out about your pregnancy?

So, we were on a trip and I woke up early and did the test. It showed positive and I was a bit nervous and stressed as we were away from home. Suyesh was sleeping and I didn’t want to wake him up and wanted the news to sink in. I was walking in rounds for a while and I remember reading a few stuffs on the internet.

What was Suyesh’s reaction to the news?

As I mentioned, he was sleeping and I didn’t want to wake him up but after spending an hour all by myself, I went towards him and asked him to get up. I told him about the pregnancy test result and he was like, ‘Oh! Okay’. He asked me if I was sure and I could make out that he is kind off nervous with the entire feeling. I feel for husbands it’s difficult to understand or express that feeling. I believe they only feel the happiness after the baby is born but for mothers, it’s a journey which is a roller coaster ride but an enriching one as well. Later, he expressed his happiness. He was happy. We were happy and since then Suyesh has been a hands on husband, from worrying about everything to keeping me calm and composed, he is doing it all and it fills me happiness and gratitude.

Who gave the best reaction to the update?

Honestly, I feel, my maasi’s reaction has to be the cutest because when she heard the news, she just started crying. Her name is Shilpi Sexana and to top it all, my due date is on her birthday, so she’s all the more excited. Also, Suyesh’s maasis had special reactions. When they heard about it, they came to our house to bless us and they were literally dancing with joy. So yes, Lily mausijee, Nimo mausijee and Shail mausijee had cute reactions as well.

Any pregnancy myth that busted for you?

Yes, we’ve all heard about pregnant women wanting to eat sour stuffs but that isn’t applicable in my case. I believe every pregnancy is different and for me, I wasn’t getting any cravings but now, in the third month I’ve developed some weird sort of cravings. Like, I feel like smelling wet mud and eating it sometimes (haha). My husband is totally confused about this funny and weird craving of mine. Another myth is that of people predicting the gender of the baby looking at the shape of the stomach. I have people telling me that I’ll have a baby boy because my stomach looks a certain way while others say that I’ll have a boy for some XYZ reasons. So, after delivery, this myth will also be busted and I’ll get to know which section of people were right and which were wrong (wink wink).
