In her career spanning more than three decades, Mita Vashisht has been part of all mediums — theatre, cinema, television, and even the current craze, OTT platforms. These days, many feel that OTT platforms offer more creative satisfaction to artists with their engaging and experimental content, while TV has become regressive and repetitive. As an experienced artiste, does Mita find it difficult to envision herself as a part of the current set-up on Indian television?

She replies, “It’s true that OTT platforms have created far more opportunities — be it in terms of interesting storytelling or good characters. If it continues with the same passion, it will bring to the forefront a lot of good talent. I am very happy that I got to be a part of shows like Criminal Justice and Your Honor.''

Well, all these shows have been critically acclaimed and spoken about, and given that the boom in OTT is sure to go places, she does have quite the point to make.
