The canvas of films has been expanding dramatically and Bollywood has painted it with vibrant colors of Kabir Singh. The film never failed to feature the true essence of cinematic liberty and we have been nourished with the excellence of content and resilient performance.

Currently, Kabir Singh is quite ubiquitous and its aftermath has an enormous impact on the audience. Perhaps, the film has managed to rope all of India in criticizing it. However, somehow it doesn't seem to be constructive criticism (as mentioned by director Sandeep Vanga in an interview with Anupama Chopra).

Director Sandeep Vanga came under fire when he said in an interview that it is okay for a man to hit a woman out of emotions. Soon after, Vanga came out to clarify that he was misquoted and that is not what he meant.

After grabbing attention, the film has already acquired the 300Cr mark.

Amidst all the controversies, Shahid Kapoor is a happy man since it is his career’s biggest hit and in an interview he opened up about the fact that it was wife Mira Rajput Kapoor who convinced him to take up the role of Kabir Singh, which according to Shahid, is one of the most flawed characters that he has ever played.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Shahid was saying, “She was always very optimistic and believed that this is a character I should have in my filmography. We had watched Arjun Reddy together and she loved the director's work and felt that the character had potential. And if we were able to get it right, it'd be a very special character in my life. So, Mira was very happy when she watched the film.”
