Mika Singh Recalls Mistakenly Taking Over Aamir Khan’s Car and Suite During USA Tour

Mika Singh, one of the most celebrated singers in the Punjabi and Hindi film industries, recently shared an amusing anecdote from the early days of his career. Despite being a newcomer, Mika revealed he carried the confidence and attitude of a successful artist, which led to an unexpected mix-up with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan during a USA tour.

Speaking on the YouTube channel Kadak, Mika recounted, “I was offered a world tour in 1999, which also included Aishwarya Rai, Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Twinkle Khanna. I was new to the film industry at the time. During the tour, I got the chance to travel with Aamir. I didn’t have much knowledge back then. While we were touring in the USA, I stepped out of the airport and saw a limousine parked outside.”

Unaware of the arrangements, Mika decided to take the limousine. “I just asked Sunidhi and her father to get into the limousine with me, and we drove to the hotel. It turned out that the car was actually meant for Aamir Khan,” he revealed.

The mix-up didn’t end there. Upon arriving at the hotel, Mika unknowingly occupied a suite reserved for Aamir Khan. He shared, “Aamir is very sweet. After some time, Aamir came and knocked on the door. When I opened it, he asked if it was my room. I confidently said, ‘Yes.’ He didn’t make a fuss—he just went to the other room and stayed there. Aamir was so humble about the whole situation.”

Mika later collaborated with Aamir Khan on the popular track "Sexy Baliye" from the film Secret Superstar.
