#MeToo: Actor Saqib Saleem recalls his traumatizing experience

Bollywood actor Saqib Saleem revealed "there was a man who tried to assault me. He tried to put his hand in my pants"

Since the #MeToo movement is taking over the industry by a storm, many celebrities have stood up against the misuse of power. With Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar case being the inception for #MeToo movement, the industry has been traumatized by the number of accusations flooding in.

Bollywood actor and brother of Huma Qureshi Saqib Saleem recently joined the #MeToo movement. He mentioned that a man tried to put his hand inside Saqib's pants and how he managed to get out of the situation.

During a media interaction with Hindustan Times, he revealed "I don't want to take names, but when I started out as an actor- I was only 21 years old- there was a man who tried to assault me. He tried to put his hand in my pants." Further, he also added that he reacted in a way that he did not, because of that person's sexuality but his actions.

He also mentioned the person had many gay friends in the industry and they were his wonderful friends. "When it happened with me, I whacked the guy and I told him to mind his own f***ing business and I left. I was 21, and of course, it scared me, but I moved on. I'm sure that everyone's different and an incident such as this must affect different people differently," added the actor.

"These stories are heartbreaking and sexual offenders are horrible people."
