'Merry Christmas': Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi unveils the poster of the film with a twist

Fans have been anxiously anticipating Sriram Raghavan's upcoming movie ever since it was announced. Merry Christmas' lead actors were tasked with creating anticipation for the film. Katrina Kaif will collaborate with Vijay Sethupathi for the first time. The audience was hopeful that the movie will open in theatres on Christmas, as promised in the title. But for now, all they have to deal with is the poster! Today saw the release of the movie's first poster, and it does look fascinating.

Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif shared the poster on their respective Instagram accounts. While Sethupathi wrote a simple ‘coming soon’, Katrina Kaif captioned, “We wanted to release the film this Christmas...but there is a TWIST :) See you in cinemas soon! #MerryChristmas.

Merry Christmas is directed by Sriram Raghavan, who had earlier made films like Andhadhun and Badlapur. Katrian Kaif had earlier taken to her Instagram to share BTS pictures with Vijay Sethupathi and Sriram Raghavan. She wrote, "Work in progress #rehearsals #merrychristmas #sriramraghavan @actorvijaysethupathi."

The makers and the cast members had annoumced the film on Christmas 2021. Katrina had shared the post and had written, “New Beginnings. BACK ON SET with director #sriramraghavan for Merry Christmas! I’ve always wanted to work with Sriram Sir, He is a master when it comes to narratives that showcase thrillers and it's an honor to be directed by him. . Super excited to be teaming up with @actorvijaysethupathi for this one produced by @rameshtaurani & @sanjayroutraymatchbox @tips @tipsfilmsofficial @matchboxpix.” The film will now be released in 2023.

Apart from this, Katrina has other films in the works like 'Tiger 3' alongside Salman Khan and 'Jee Le Zaraa' along with Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.
