'Mentioning I am a part of Anupamaa has..': Mazher Sayed REVEALS show's relation to his social media 'VIEWS'

Actor Mazher Sayed, who plays the role of Anil Kothari in Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi’s show Anupamaa, says that the show is already helping him gain more popularity. He hopes that he, too, can help contribute immensely to the show.

“Well, I just joined, so I don’t know yet. I’m not very active on social media, but I can see that just mentioning that I’m part of Anupamaa has already gotten me more views. I’m sure being part of Anupamaa will take me places, and I’m excited for this journey. I hope we can contribute as much as everyone else has in the past,” he says.

Ask him if there is any pressure while performing, and he says, “Not really. I’ve worked with DKP before, and the team is fantastic. Rajan ji is a great producer and director who understands the storyline and knows how to direct. The creatives are amazing, and every character has a proper arc and background. The directors, I have worked with Romesh before, but they all are wonderful, and they make me feel comfortable. After 25 years in the industry, I don’t feel any pressure. I’m just happy to be part of this.”

Talking about his process, he says, “I leave myself to the narrative of the story and provide my personal experiences. As an actor with many years of experience, I try to contribute as much as I can. The character is well-written and has depth, and I am guided by the director and creatives throughout the process. I trust them fully and try to bring life to the character based on my experiences.”

He adds that there is something big coming up in the show. “There’s a huge twist coming, and it’s going to be big. The family dynamics are about to get much more complicated, with lots of energy and complexities. I can’t reveal the twist yet, but it’s definitely going to be a game-changer. Rajan ji is a visionary and an amazing storyteller. He always works with a strong team and remembers his old actors. I worked with him in Itti Si Khushi in 2014, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and now here. His consistency with his core team is something to admire. Hats off to Rajanji, and I pray that God blesses him with more success. Fingers crossed, and I’m really looking forward to this journey!
