Manoj Bajpayee explains the reason why he’s not invited to ravishing bollywood parties anymore

Manoj Bajpayee, renowned for his versatile performances in Bollywood, recently addressed the reason behind his absence from the industry's glamorous parties. In an interview with a leading publication, he explained that his lack of invitations stems from a perception among his peers that his absence could be viewed as an "offense" or "humiliation."

Reflecting on his career and the misconceptions surrounding him, Bajpayee shared that he has not been involved in major controversies; rather, he simply prefers to stay away from the social scene. “Now people don’t even invite me because they have realized why they might feel offended or humiliated by my not attending, which I am very happy with,” he said. He humorously added, “Please don’t call me because I like to sleep by 10-10:30 PM, and I always look forward to my early mornings.”

Despite having a few close friends in the industry, including director Sharib Hashmi and actors Kay Kay Menon and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bajpayee noted that his social circle remains small due to his busy schedule. He emphasized that his self-respect is often misinterpreted as arrogance, stating that those unfamiliar with him might see him as aloof or reserved.

Bajpayee explained that he fiercely protects his privacy and is comfortable with others perceiving this as arrogance. “Once people sit with me and get to know me, they’ll understand my true nature,” he remarked, describing himself as grateful rather than arrogant—someone who values self-respect.

On the professional front, Manoj Bajpayee has built an impressive career with standout roles in films like Satya, Gangs of Wasseypur, Sirf Ek Bandaa, Gulmohar, and Satyameva Jayate. His latest film, Despatch, premiered on ZEE5 on December 13, 2024.
