Manoj Bajpayee announces trailer launch of The Family Man Season 2; Web series confirmed to stream on June 4: Reports

The trailer of Manoj Bajpayee’s web series The Family Man Season 2 is all set to release tomorrow. After months of speculations, the much-awaited crime/drama will soon cater its fans with a glimpse into season 2 and will be out on Wednesday.

Taking to his official Instagram handle, Manoj announced the trailer launch of The Family Man Season 2. Sharing the update, the 52-year-old actor wrote, “Our excitement level is 11/10 ?? Yours? #TheFamilyManOnPrime Summer is here, and so is #TheFamilyManOnPrime Trailer out tomorrow (sic)”.

Created by Raj and DK, The Family Man Season 2 will see south Indian actor Samantha Akkineni joining the cast. Manoj Bajpayee, Sharad Kelkar, Priyamani and Sharib Hashmi will reprise their roles. 

In Season 2, a world-class spy Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) struggles to balance his family and professional life, he’ll face a new nemesis in Raji (Samantha Ruth Prabhu). The series also marks the Telugu star’s digital debut.

While the wait is finally over, the release date for the thrilling show is confirmed. The Family Man season 2 will stream on June 4, 2021, reported Bollywood Hungama.

“June 4 is the streaming date for Family Man Season 2. The date will be announced in the trailer being released on May19”, the source said.

The critically acclaimed web show did extremely well and was released in September 2019. It was loved for its humour, performances and thrill element and when the makers announced that its second season is on the anvil, it made its fans excited.

The second season was all set to be released on February 12, this year however, owing to the Coronavirus the series was delayed. 

On the other hand, it is also being reported, the show was apparently delayed after the streaming giant Amazon Prime Video decided to review the show’s content to avoid any controversy or politically incorrect matter that could lead to issues.

“Ever since the February streaming date was postponed by Amazon, there has been ongoing speculation on the new release date. Well, we can put all speculation to rest,” the source informed.

Meanwhile, the report also adds that not a single shot has been removed from The Family Man Season 2.
