Mamata to call on Manna Dey April 4

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will call on ailing legendary singer Manna Dey in Bangalore Thursday.

"I will go to Bangalore on April 4 to meet Manna Dey," the chief minister told reporters at the state secretariat Writers' Buildings Tuesday.

Banerjee said her government would hand over the 'Maha Sangeet Samman' award during the Sangeet Melato be held here later this year.
