Malvika Raaj on Squad: I had to keep the mental and physical essence of the character in sync

The Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham start Malvika Raaj aka young Poo is finally making her movie debut with Zee5's action film Squad. The actress' first glimpses from the movie have received wide recognition from the fans and everyone is mighty excited to see her back on the screens, this time, in a fresh new avatar.

Talking about her character and how she got it right, she told India Forums, ''Well, besides training that went into getting the action sequence right. It was very important for me to understand what makes her who she is. Her back story or what made her choose a profession that is otherwise considered male-dominated. I had to keep the mental and physical essence of the character in sync.''

Produced, Directed and Written by Nilesh Sahay, Squad also stars Pooja Batra, Mohan Kapur, Amit Gaur, Tanisha Dhillon, Dishita Jain among others and revolves around the battle between the nations’ Special forces with a little girl at the centre of it who has lost everyone in her life. The film has an international crew to its credit giving the film scale and grandeur. Even the high scale action sequences are choreographed by the international stunt coordinator, Kier Beck who is known for his work on ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’.

Squad is slated to be the biggest action film of the year and marks the debut of actors, Rinzing Denzongpa and Malvika Raaj. The film will stream from November 12 on Zee5.
