In these testing times, one of the most encouraging piece of news can be about couples welcoming parenthood, isn't it? In the past few months, we have seen an array of celebrities either announcing or confirming their pregnancy or finally welcoming their little bundle of joy to the world. The likes of Nakuul Mehta-Jankee Mehta, Gazal Rai-Krunal Sodha, Lovey Sasan-Koushik Krishnamurthy and others recently welcomed their children.
And now, actor Arpit Ranka, who is best known for his roles in Mahabhrata, Chandra Nandini and other shows is all set to be a father again. Indeed this is the second time around for Ranka and his wife, Nidhi Somani Ranka where the couple already are parents to an adorable five-year-old son, Arnidh Ranka. This time around, the baby is due by the end of September. Talking about it with ETimes TV, Ranka said, “I am very happy and waiting for the birth of my child. It’s the second time but the feeling of becoming a father is exactly the same as when our first child was born.”
He mentioned how his daily routine has changed, “I get up early in the morning to make tea and breakfast. I have also started taking care of other household chores so that my wife (Nidhi) can take rest and enjoy this phase. I love making midnight snacks for her, especially noodles, which is her favourite."
Interestingly, Ranka, who was known for his massive posture and big built has undergone a transformation and opted for a more chiseled look. Talking about it, he said, “I have wanted to change my look for a while, especially my long hair. It’s been long since the audiences have been watching me in costume dramas with long hair. During the lockdown, gyms were closed and so, I had decided six months back that I would completely change my look. I wanted to transform my body so that people could get to see the new Arpit. For that, I did a lot of hard work. I lost 15 kgs and got my long hair cut, which I had been flaunting for the past 12 or 13 years.”
We wish the actor all the best for this new phase in his life both professionally and personally.
