In the past few years, there has been a boom in the digital platforms for entertainment and more and more audiences are now attracted to OTT platforms for their exciting content. 

As compared to before, more Bollywood stars and A lister actors are now heading to OTT platforms and open to exploring the digital space. Well, the year 2021 will see a bunch of Bollywood actors who will be making their digital debut.

Madhuri Dixit

Bollywood’s dancing diva, Madhuri Dixit, is now all set to cast her charm in the digital space. She announced her web debut with the series Finding Anamika. The suspenseful family drama series revolves around the story of a global superstar, wife, and mom who suddenly vanishes without a trace. Directed by Karishma Kohli and Bejoy Nambiar, Finding Anamika will stream on Netflix.

Ajay Devgn

Last month, Ajay Devgn announced his digital debut with a crime thriller show titled ‘Rudra - The Edge Of Darkness'. Reportedly, Rudra is the official adaptation of the British classic titled ‘Luther’ that starred Idris Elba in the original. 

After playing the iconic cop Singham on the big screen, Ajay Devgn will now be seen in an intense and gritty new cop avatar in Rudra. Directed by Sameer Nair, Rudra - The Edge of Darkness will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar VIP. 

Sonakshi Sinha

After playing wife to supercop Chulbul Pandey, actress Sonakshi Sinha is now all set to turn a tough cop herself. She will be making her digital debut with Reema Kagti’s show titled Fallen. The series also features Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah & Sohum Shah in key roles.

Ahead of Women’s Day this year, the makers had released Sonakshi Sinha’s first look as a cop from the show, and it has definitely raised excitement among fans. 

Shahid Kapoor 

One of the most anticipated and exciting web debuts to look forward to is filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's action-thriller series collaboration with Shahid Kapoor. The Kabir Singh actor will be making his digital debut with this thriller web series, that is yet to get a title.

Raj and DK‘s web show stars Vijay Sethupathi in a key role and the digital show will be shot across Mumbai and Goa, starting January and that will be wrapped up around March/April. It will be an eight or ten part episodic series on Amazon Prime Videos.

Juhi Chawla

After an illustrious career of 35 years in the movies, Juhi Chawla has made her entry into the digital world with a web series Hush Hush. The show, led by an all-women cast and crew was announced on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

With a unique female gaze at its core, Hush Hush features Ayesha Jhulka with leading ladies Soha Ali Khan, Karishma Tanna, Shahana Goswami and Kritika Kamra playing pivotal roles in this exciting thriller-drama. 

Randeep Hooda

After making his digital debut with Netflix’s crime-thriller Extraction starring Chris Hemsworth, Randeep Hooda is now all set to make his entry in the Hindi OTT space.

Randeep will be marking his Hindi digital debut with the web series titled ‘Inspector Avinash’. Helmed by filmmaker Neeraj Pathak, the show will see the actor playing the role of a police officer handling all the crimes in Uttar Pradesh. ‘Inspector Avinash’ stars Urvashi Rautela as the leading lady.

Raveena Tandon 

Joining the list of Bollywood stars making their digital debut is actress Raveena Tandon, who has found the right script to make her entry into the OTT space.

Raveena Tandon will be making her digital debut this year with the Netflix show titled Aranyak. She will play a cop named Kasturi Durga and the series will be directed by Vinay Vyakul.
