Lust Stories 2 fame Tillotama Shome alerts fans by making a PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT regarding a scam being done

The entertainment industry, unfortunately, is no stranger to scams. From fake casting calls to phishing, a variety of schemes target those hoping to break into the business. Recently, Lust Stories 2 actress Tillotama Shome took to social media to warn fans about someone impersonating her and using her name to ask for favors. Known for her roles in projects like Angrezi Medium, Delhi Crime, The Night Manager, Paatal Lok, and more, Tillotama urged her followers to be vigilant and avoid falling prey to such scams.

Tillotama took to Instagram on April 21, 2025, to warn her fans about a scam. She revealed that someone is impersonating her on WhatsApp, using a picture from her Bengali-language film, Shadowbox, as their profile picture. This imposter is allegedly using this fake identity to ask for favors from others. Shome stressed that the number is not hers and she has not been asking anyone for anything. She urged her followers to be cautious and avoid any communication or transactions with the number she shared in her post.

To further validate her warning, Tillotama Shome shared screenshots of the phone number being used by the fraudster. She also included a screenshot of a conversation between the imposter and another person, where the imposter is seen using Shome's name to ask for "help."

The actress's post sparked a wave of concern in the comments section, with many users revealing that their acquaintances had fallen victim to similar scams. One user wrote, "My cousin lost a lot of money like this," while another added, "These kind of scams are on peak nowadays. Please be aware."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Tillotama Shome is receiving praise for her performance in the second season of Paatal Lok. The crime thriller television series, led by Jaideep Ahlawat, is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
