Liam Payne’s Girlfriend Kate Cassidy Recalls Final Conversation Before Singer’s Sudden Passing

Kate Cassidy, girlfriend of the late singer Liam Payne, shared an emotional memory of their last conversation before tragedy struck. In a recent podcast with Jay Shetty, Kate opened up about the painful moment just before leaving Argentina, where the couple had gone to attend Niall Horan’s concert in Buenos Aires.

A few days after the event, Liam tragically passed away after falling from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room. Kate had already left for the United States by then, unaware that it would be the last time she’d see him.

While speaking to Jay Shetty, Kate shared how emotional their final hours together were. “On the last day in Argentina, my car was in the driveway, and we went back into the guest house, grabbed my suitcase and we were sitting on the couch and I just kept going on and on and on about how much I love him and how much he means to me,” she recalled.

Kate became teary-eyed as she remembered Liam’s response. “And he laughed and he interrupted me, and he just said, ‘Kate, you're gonna miss your flight… You’re acting like this is the last time you’re ever gonna see me again.’” These words, filled with love and irony, are now forever etched in her heart.

She explained that the memory gives her both comfort and sorrow. “I think when I think about the last day and the last words that we said to each other, it brings me this mixture of pain and peace,” Kate said.

The couple had been in a committed relationship for two years and had been living together in England. They had also recently bought a house and were raising a dog together. Kate shared that they were planning a fresh chapter in their lives, looking forward to a future filled with love and hope.
