Legendary actress Suchitra Sen admitted to nursing home

KOLKATA, February 27 (SAMPURN): Yesteryears’ legendary Bengali celluloid actress Suchitra Sen has been admitted to a Kolkata nursing home after she complained of fever and related ailments. Sen was admitted to the nursing home with similar complaints some time back too.

According to her physician and the nursing home administrator Dr P Tandon, Suchitra Sen was admitted to Belle Vue nursing home here on late Tuesday night. He, however, refused to provide any detail on the actor’s physical condition.

It may be mentioned that since she quit acting, Suchitra Sen has not come out of her private world for decades and mysteriously guards her privacy zealously. It is this which prompted the nursing home to keep the news of her illness and admission a secret. The news was made public only on Wednesday morning.
