Lata Mangeshkar will continue to be in ICU for 10-12 days, says Doctors

Lata Mangeshkar also known as Nightingale of India was admitted to the ICU of Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital after she tested positive for COVID-19. 

According to reports Dr Pratit Samdani from Breach Candy hospital had confirmed that she is also suffering from pneumonia and was taken to the hospital on Saturday night.

In a recent update doctors have said that she will continue to be in ICU for 10-12 days. The singer is being closely monitored and treated for both COVID-19 and pneumonia infections, however she has not been put on oxygen and is stable.

The veteran singer's niece, Rachna Shah, spoke to a news portal and shared that Lata Mangeshkar is in stable condition now and is recovering. She said, 

“Didi is absolutely stable and is alert. God has been really kind. She is a fighter and a winner and that is how we have known her for so many years. I would like to thank all the fans across the nation who have kept her in the prayers. We can see when everyone prays, nothing can go wrong."

She further added,

"The doctors are doing a wonderful job. Dr Pratik Samdani of Breach Candy hospital has also given a statement earlier in the day. The best doctors are on call and are attending her".

Usha Mangeshkar talked about the health update. The Mangeshkar family is worried but has maintained calmness. They have been in touch with the doctors.

Usha Mangeshkar yesterday told to a news portal, 

"We cannot go to see Didi as it is a COVID case. There are sufficient doctors and nurses there, though."

She had also informed that Lata Mangeshkar might not be discharged very soon because of her age. Lataji is 92 and we wish her a very speedy recovery.
