'Kishore Kumar is and will always remain a legend' - Rex D'Souza
The very popular Rex D'Souza of Fame Gurukul is now cometing as a Challenger in Sony's K for Kishore.. Here is the talented singer in conversation..
K for Kishore recently got some of the new challengers in the show who are trying hard to challenge the already present contestants. One among them is Rex Desouza, who was also the finalist of the very famous reality show Fame Gurukul. Rex considers himself as one of the very big fan of Kishore Kumar and is making sure to prove that he is none less than the others. Rex has been doing many stage shows after Fame Gurukul and now his fans are delighted to see him participate again in a reality show, K for Kishore. Our Tellybuzz reporter took an exclusive chit chat of Rex to know his takes on this show.

There are many established singers who find it difficult to sing Kishore Kumar songs, but which one do you consider as the toughest for you to sing? “The thing about Kishore Kumar is that he was a straight singer, who was not trained in any kind of classical singing, which makes it tough to sing all his songs”. Kishore Kumar is the yodeling king. So, How far you are good at yodeling? “Not very good actually. In fact I sang the song Zindagi Ek Safar in one of the episodes and I tried yodeling and I got some help from the contestants in perfecting it”.
Rex’s favorite song of Kishore Kumar is “O Saathi Re” and was excited to select some of his favorite songs for an album of Kishore. “If I make an album with Kishore Kumar in mind, I would include some of my favourite songs like, Oh Saathi re, Musafir Hoon Yaaron, Ek Ajnabee and some punchy numbers like Om Shanti Om”. There are many songs composed in the recent times, which is the one song that could have been better sung by Kishore Kumar? “There are a number of songs that Kishore Kumar would have done better. One of them would be Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe”, says Rex as he signs off.
