Kiran Gosavi witness in Aryan Khan case detained in Pune

The  Narcotics agency's witness in Aryan Khan case Kiran Gosavi, has finally been nabbed by the police. He was detained by the Pune Police, confirmed Amitabh Gupta, Pune Police Commissioner. 

Kiran Gosavi was absconding in connection with a 2018 cheating case for which he has been detained now. In 2019 he was declared wanted by the Pune Police.

Gosavi had said he wanted to surrender to the Uttar Pradesh Police as he felt "threatened" in Maharashtra. 

The Lucknow Police later refuted the claims of Mr Gosavi trying to surrender to them.

Kiran Gosavi had been missing since then and surfaced during the cruise raid in Mumbai on October 3.

 He then became an NCB witness. According to ANI, police had issued a lookout circular against him on October 14.

Before being detained, Kiran Gosavi had stated,

“Prabhakar Sail is lying. All I want to request is that his CDR report must be released. My CDR report or chats can be released, Prabhakar Sail & his brother's CDR reports, as well as chats, should be released, everything will be clear. At least one minister or any leader of the opposition from Maharashtra must stand with me. At least they should request the Mumbai police what I am demanding(to release the CDR & chats of Prabhakar Sail). Once his reports come out everything will clear.”

Kiran Gosavi’s name cropped up in the controversy after his bodyguard, Prabhakar Sail, released an affidavit with shocking allegations.

On Sunday, a man claiming to be Mr Gosavi's personal bodyguard Prabhakar Sail made allegations of bribery against him. 

Prabhakar in an affidavit had cited a meeting between Shah Rukh Khan's manager Poooja Dadlani, KP Gosavi and one Sam D'Souza in the wee hours of October 3 in Lower Parel. 

It also mentioned a payment of Rs 8 crore that had to be made to NCB’s Zonal director Sameer Wankhede.

The NCB team plans to question Sail for his statements claiming Gosavi was the channel for an alleged Rs 18 crore extortion bid from Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan to get his son Aryan released.
