Kim Soo-Hyun's Chinese fan base organizes huge LED support truck 'Truth With Prevail' activity

It has been over a month but the Kim Soo-Hyun case refuses to die down. By now everyone who is on social media, knows that the actor is under the scanner for allegedly being in a relationship with an under-age Kim Sae-Ron. The actress who started worked in Korean dramas/films as a child artiste died on February 15, 2025. A month after her demise, Garosero Research Institute headlined by former MBC Reporter Kim Se-ui put up videos on YouTube claiming that a woman who is an aunt of late Kim Sae-Ron told him that Kim Soo-Hyun was dating the actress since she was 15.

The news sent shockwaves across the Korean drama world. Kim Soo-Hyun became a target of massive hate on forums for being an alleged groomer. He began to be referred to as an alleged paedophile. One of the biggest names of the drama world, he lost his endorsements within days of the sensational news. After almost three weeks, Kim Soo-Hyun held a press conference in Seoul where he admitted that he did date Kim Sae-Ron for a year when she was 19 and he was around 31. However, Kim Soo-Hyun denied dating her when she was underage. He said he would not admit something he did not do, and said he would prove himself in court.

A month later, a lot of new facets are coming to the fore including the role of Kim Sae-Ron’s New York husband, who was allegedly abusive. The history of abuse is closer to her demise, which has made people wonder why is he not being investigated so far. Now, his Chinese fan base has sought services of a lawyer to seek legal action against those who troll him as a groomer on social media. The case is now under legal jurisdiction. Moreover, they have organized LED trucks to show support for Kim Soo-Hyun. There are 25 such trucks in densely populated areas of Seoul with the slogan Truth Will Prevail. They are also outside the Disney Korea office.

People have also highlighted how Garosero Research Instiute was also allegedly behind the cyberbullying of Parasite and My Mister actor Lee Sun-kyun. He died by suicide in 2023.
