Kim Soo-hyun Case: India, Taiwan, Vietnam fan clubs amp up support for the actor outside Disney Korea office

Kim Soo-Hyun who was basking in the glory of Queen OfTears success till start of 2025 saw his life take a totally different turn after March 15. Garosero channel led by former MBC journalist Kim Se Ui in a broadcast claimed that Kim Soo-Hyun was in a relationship with late actress KimSae-Ron. She had died of suicide on February 15, 2025 at her home in Seoul. Garosero claimed that they were in a relationship that lasted for six long years from2015 to 2021, which meant that he allegedly dated her when she was a minor. There was an age gap of 12 years between them. The matter blew up given that he is one of the biggest stars of the Korean drama industry. Kim Soo-hyun faced unimaginable hate on social media with people terming him as a ‘paedophile’, ‘groomer’, ‘K-Diddy’ and other humiliating terms. With the actor staying silent for a long time, the uproar only grew, and he began to lose his endorsements.

Support comes from his Indian fans

Two months down the line, Kim Soo-hyun has filed a defamation case against the actress’ family, the aunt and Garosero. The multiple cases include releasing sexually humiliating images, slander and stalking. With the case being in court, Kim Soo-Hyun’s legal side said they could not obtain legal IDs or address of the aunt who is the first whistleblower. The allegation that Kim Sae-Ron was pressurized to pay off 700 million Korean won is also debatable with Goldmedalist saying that they wrote it off as bad debt. The latest from Garosero where they claimed he had sent assailants to assault a Korean man in New Jersey is also being seen as fabrication without any concrete proofs to back the claims. Experts have dismissed the recording as fabricated by AI. Actor Won Bin whose name also surfaced twice denied knowing the informant’s wife saying he had never been to New Jersey. With the case taking new ‘contentious’ turns every fortnight, the actor’s fans have been steadfast in their support.

They have hopes that Disney Korea will wait for the actor till the courts pronounce their verdict. Kim Soo-hyun’s side has maintained absolute silence on social media platforms only tackling this through their legal representatives LKB and in-house team. Support trucks for the actor have been coming in from India, Taiwan, East Africa, Brazil, Thailand, Vietnam and other nations. It seems the first hearing will happen in Court in the month of June. As per legal experts, the case should not drag on for a long time. Kim Soo-Hyun’s fans in the meantime are doing whatever possible to keep up his morale, and control unsubstantiated rumours on social media.
