It is a rather common sight to see male actors cross-dressing into female characters on an Indian TV screen, isn't it? The likes of multiple comedy reality shows have made careers and long-running innings out of the same and that indeed continues to be the case even today. One of the most prominent names in that list has been actor Kiku Sharda, who has been doing this for a staggering 7 years now. The only person apart from Sumona Chakravarti who has been a constant with Kapil Sharma's team over the years, Sharda continues to be loved and adored for his cross-dressing antics even now.
However, little could one imagine that cross-dressing into a woman can actually result in a fix where you can get harassed too.
In an interview with NavBharat Times, Sharda opened up on an instance where he has to be extra cautious while playing Palak.
Sharda shares that with the crew performing at various destinations, major concerns arise when the show comes to an end and the audiences flock to greet him and get pictures clicked with him. The actor’s character Palak has been the audience favourite for its excellent comic timing. The actor sharing further also mentioned that the problem especially occurs when the audience usually drags him to get clicked with him when he is in his Palak avatar, hence then the manager and bouncers come into the picture to safeguard them and help them dodge the crowd. Thus, leaving the actor a bit worried on several occasions. Sharing one such incident, he mentioned fearing the crowd in a small town and he and the team ran away from the organiser’s guest house in their onscreen get-ups without getting any time to change. Not stopping he also shared a funny incident that left him in a tight spot.
