Khushi Kapoor upset seeing paparazzi zooming into her as she mourns dadi Nirmal Kapoor's demise - WATCH

Nirmal Kapoor, the matriarch of the Kapoor Family passed away last night. She died at the age of 90. Nirmal Kapoor was the wife of late Surinder Kapoor. She is the mother of Anil Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and Reena Kapoor. The grand-daughters had all rushed to the home of Nirmal Kapoor after the news. Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor looked totally distraught. A video has come where we can see paparazzi zooming into the room of the Kapoor family where the grandchildren had gathered. The cameraman wanted to capture Khushi Kapoor. She spotted him and looked angry seeing how their privacy was invaded even in a moment of grief.

Netizens have called out the media. They said that it is insensitive to not let family members mourn peacefully. Yesterday, Vedang Raina who is the rumoured boyfriend of Khushi Kapoor also paid her a visit. Shikhar Pahariya the boyfriend of Janhvi Kapoor accompanied them for the last rites of the lady in Juhu. Social media was flooded with gorgeous pictures of Nirmal Kapoor with her grand-daughters Shanaya Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. Boney Kapoor wrote a heartfelt message for his mother. Nirmal Kapoor was described as a loving mother-in-law by her bahus, Sunita, Maheep and Sridevi.

"Passed away peacefully on the 2nd of May, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. She lived a full and joyful life, leaving behind four devoted children, loving daughters-in-law, a caring son-in-law, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a lifetime of treasured memories."

The funeral was attended by all members of the Kapoor family. The industry also turned up in full strength to offer their condolences. We saw Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Javed Akhtar, Fardeen Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Ananya Panday Anupam Kher and many other celebs at the crematorium and residence of the Kapoor’s. Anil Kapoor looked visibly moved as the family geared up for the last rites. This is not the first time that media has been called out for being insensitive. We saw how Ayan Mukerji had to plead for some privacy as they dealt with the demise of their grandfather. The reporting was also questionable in case of Sidharth Shukla and Sushant Singh Rajput.
