Ken Ghosh noticed my eight packs first: Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai, Jan 4 (IANS) Shahid Kapoor may have worked hard on his body for his forthcoming film 'Chance Pe Dance', but the actor says it was director Ken Ghosh who noticed his eight packs first.

'Ken wanted me to have a fit body and my workouts were aimed at making sure I looked and felt as fit as possible. It was during the shoot of the 'Pump It Up' song that Ken called me in the middle of a shot and asked me to come near the monitor. He had a mischievous smile on his face and said - 'Look at yourself... you have an eight pack!' Shahid told IANS.

'That was the first time I realised that all my hard work to look fit had borne fruit. The first person to notice the eight pack was Ken and not me,' he added.

Shahid had to give up sugar and all white carbohydrates like rice and white bread for nearly a year. But with such results, one wonders if he would have been complaining.

'Chance Pe Dance' revolves around a talented young struggling actor Sameer (Shahid), who juggles various jobs while working towards getting his big break in films. During his struggle, he meets Tina (Genelia D'Souza), a choreographer - and the story builds on thereafter.

The film, which is expected to feature some of the best dance moves from Shahid will release Jan 15.
