Kavita Ghai roped in for Hindi remake of a popular Telugu series

It's time for an insanely popular Telugu series, Karthika Deepam, to be adapted for and remodelled into a Hindi television series. The casting is under way and the narrative is being modified to suit the audience. The story revolves around Deepa (Premi Viswanath), a deep-complexioned girl, emanating from her trials and tribulations will be made into a TV series. 

Our very own Kavita Ghai has been roped in for a role in the series. Talking about her role in to Bombay Times, Kavita said,"I am playing the male lead's mother and my character is completely different from what I had played in 'Beyhadh'. I am the boss here and that's why I just grabbed it."

Now that Beyhadh 2 is winning hearts with it's current streak, she is missing being a part of the franchise. She said,"Yes, it's so mean of them to not call me back (laughs!). But they didn't repeat anyone apart from Jennifer. I would have felt terrible if they had called others and not called me. The new season features an entirely new cast and a brand new story. I wish them all the luck."

We know she is an actress par excellence and no matter what the role is, she dons it in style.
