And in case you're wondering, this new makeover is not for any upcoming movies. Instead, the inspiration for this simpleton, and somewhat rustic garb by her usual standards, stems from the visit she paid to the battle zone of Jammu and Kashmir to interact with the Indian troops at the borders. 

The said visit was part of a television show, and involved a few days of interaction and getting around. Katrina is heard to have stepped out of her comfort zone, to not only chat and sing and dance with the jawans, but actually take part in the extensive training which includes firing, rope climbing and river crossing. Perhaps only a feeble glimpse and feel of the tense scenario, but Katrina sure got her first hands on experience of what life at the borders is like!
