Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar have joined forces for the romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, with an official announcement made on December 25, 2024. Reports now suggest that Kartik has charged a staggering Rs 50 crore for his role in the film, which is being made on a budget of Rs 150 crore.

According to a report by Zoom, Kartik’s market value has seen a significant rise following the success of Chandu Champion and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The source stated that his growing popularity has cemented his position as one of the most bankable stars in Bollywood.

Meanwhile, Bollywood Hungama revealed that the film, described as an “ambitious project,” is being produced with a budget of Rs 150 crore.

The announcement of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri was accompanied by a fun video featuring Kartik’s character, Ray, who humorously reflects on his past relationships. He vows to ensure his next relationship doesn't end in separation. Kartik shared the video on social media, expressing his excitement: “Tumhara RAY aa raha hai RUMI. Mummy ki khaayi hui kasam, yeh Mumma’s boy poori karke he rehta hai! Super excited to return to my fav genre Rom-com #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri… The biggest love story coming to cinemas in 2026.”

The film is helmed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously directed Kartik in Satyaprem Ki Katha. It is presented by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures and produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora.

Kartik and Karan were earlier slated to collaborate on Dostana 2, which was shelved. In 2023, the duo announced another project—a patriotic war film directed by Sandeep Modi, initially scheduled for a 2025 release. However, there have been no recent updates about this venture.
