Karanvir Bohra's Jhalak birthday

It was a reunion time for Jhalak's most-loved contestant yesterday, as Karanvir Bohra celebrated what he called 'a working birthday.'  It was a very emotional farewell when KVB was eliminated from Jhalak couple of  weeks ago.  It was all the more reason the contestants, choreographers and production team of the dance show didn't miss the chance to get together for KVB's surprise birthday party! 

'It was a working birthday for me this year, or that's what I thought,' remarks KVB. 'I have been dubbing for my upcoming film, 'Love You Soniye' which stars my wife Teejay and me. I thought maybe I would meet a few friends in the evening, for a little birthday get together, but Teejay surprised me with a party at home!  She invited the whole Jhalak gang to our house!  When I walked through the door, I was totally shocked to see everyone! I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and suddenly I felt so under-dressed!  It was great to meet everyone especially since I have been buried in work and haven't had a chance to hang out much."

Who is it that KVB is closest to in Jhalak?

He says, 'I'm fond of every single person in Jhalak.  Salman has been my friend since last year when I was in the  'teen ka tadka.' Drashti Dhami, I got to know this year, and she's a lot of fun.  Lauren and Punit have been my close friends since day one of Jhalak, while Shaan is someone I was friends with even before the show.  Karan Patel was only there for a few episodes but he has also become a buddy now. Siddarth Shukla is always a fun guy to hang out with, as is Manish Paul.  Manish is as funny at home as he is in Jhalak!  (We discovered that our respective films are releasing one day of each other in October!)  One of my best friends Vivian came over, too, with his wife, Vabhiz. They never miss any of our special days.  I know that everyone has other shoots and busy schedules, so I was touched that everyone took time out to celebrate with me. Every year my birthday is spent with a new group of friends and this year it was an all-out Jhalak birthday. The show will end in a few weeks but these friendships are for a lifetime and I cherish them.  I'm thankful to everyone for making my birthday special!"
