Karanvir Bohra tears up talking about mental health; opens up on the time they suffered a miscarriage

Ever since its launch, Alt Balaji and MX Player's show, Lock Upp has been in the news for all the right and wrong reasons indeed. From being in news for all the controversies attached to the show before the launch to many of those controversies attached to the contestants, it has been in news indeed. And in a recent episode, the shwo took a different route with its emotions as some of the contestants got emotional revealing the deepest secrets of their lives.

During the beginning of the episode, the inmates were asked to gather in the outside area and talk about the importance of mental health. During the group discussion, Nisha Rawal started talking about her low phase which got Karanvir Bohra emotional. He asked everyone to excuse him and Shivam Sharma followed him to the washroom where Bohra locked himself in the bathroom and cried his eyes out.

When he came out he was still crying and requested everyone to sit down as he also wants to share something about his life and he has got the courage from Nisha Rawal. He hugged her tight and cried. He then shared, "Before Gia we lost a baby during COVID. We were so scared to not tell anyone about it because we didn't want people to say 'Arre yaar ye kya hogaya, kaise hogaya, kyu hogaya'. Maybe to protect ourselves we didn't want to say. We had to lie from our own family, from our own relatives. When we talk about mental health issues come from home only."

He added, "They start from home, because ghar waale kuch bolte hain, maybe they don't mean it, they speak out of concern. Her family does not know, my family does not know. At that point we felt we lost emotional well-being, mental health. Start from your own house mental health. It is ok to be a bipolar, transwoman or lose things in life, to be older. It is just ok to be alive."

Bohra and Teejay Sidhu welcomed their third child Gia Vanessa Snow in December 2020. The couple is parents to three beautiful baby girls Bella, Vienna and Gia Vanessa Snow.
