Kapil Sharma to try stand-up comedy on Netflix?

The Kapil Sharma Show is going nowhere as Sony TV renewed his contract for another year. The comedian has been dodging controversies since his split with Sunil Grover and his TRPs have taken quite a beating.

Regardless of this, his show is going strong and it isn't going off-air anytime soon.

The recent buzz tells us that the comedian is trying his hand at stand-up comedy and we hear he has been in talks with Netflix. With comedians and actors, in general, turning to the digital medium, we wouldn't be surprised if he hops on the bandwagon too. Hotstar and Amazon already have comedy shows airing.

After watching comedians like Vir Das and Aditi Mittal enthrall the audience with their comic timing will we be seeing TV's laughter king on Netflix too?
