Actress Kangana Ranaut’s personal bodyguard, Kumar Hegde, has been accused of rape and unnatural sex by a makeup artist in Mumbai on the pretext of marriage. The victim mentioned that they knew each other for 8 years.

The Mumbai Police on Wednesday (May 19), registered an FIR against Hegde in a rape case at DN Nagar Police Station after a medical examination and statement from the victim.

According to the statements recorded by the complainant, Hegde met her in 2013 and proposed to her in June last year, promising to marry. The accused also suggested a live-in relationship to which the victim agreed as she had hoped to get married to him.

After accepting the proposal, the accused often visited her flat and forcibly established a physical relationship with her on multiple occasions. Later Hegde's mother started threatening the victim to not force him for marriage.

The victim has also alleged that on April 27, Hegde ran away with a sum of Rs 50,000 from her house. An FIR has been registered against Kumar Hegde under IPC sections 376 (rape), 377 (unnatural sex) and 420 (cheating), reported Peeping Moon.

Confirming the reports, DCP Chaitanya, spokesperson for the Mumbai police said, "Yes an FIR has been registered at DN Nagar police station. The police is investigating the case", reported ETimes.
