Kamal Haasan's daughter to debut opposite Madhavan

Chennai, Nov 24 (IANS) Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan and Hindi actor-director Sarika's daughter, Shruti, is all set to make her debut as an actor opposite matinee idol Madhavan in a Tamil movie not titled as yet.

Shruti, with special interest in music, has sung and written songs for films, after completing her course from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood.

She has done a playback number for a dance item by Mallika Sherawat in 'Dasavataram', a film being made by Kamal Haasan.

Nishikant Kamath may direct the Madhavan-starrer, for which the 21-year-old Shruti has been signed. It is likely to be produced by Gnanam Films.

Scenes involving Madhavan and Shruti are expected to be shot in Jan 2008.

Shruti's much-awaited independent debut music album may be released before the shooting for the film starts.
