Kalki 2: Deepika Padukone to reunite with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan on THIS date for Nag Ashwin's film?

Prabhas fans probably have the most stellar line-up to wait for in the next two years. The superstar has films like Salaar 2, Spirit, Fauji, Kalki 2898 AD and movies with Hombale Films lined up for his legion of fans. Kalki 2898 AD was one of the most successive films of 2024. There was a lot of hype around it, and it lived upto the expectations. In the movie, Prabhas played Bhairava a bounty hunter in a dystopian world who is later shown as someone inspired by one of Mahabharata’s greatest warriors Karna. The movie appealed to viewers mainly due to an epic climax sequence and acting of Amitabh Bachchan as Dronacharya.

As per Telugu 360, filmmaker Nag Ashwin is working on a sequel since some time now. A portion of the film has already been shot. It seems he will focus on the script for the next few months, and the shoot of the sequel will begin from June 2025. It seems the producer Chalasani Ashwini Dutt has confirmed the news. Prabhas has given dates to the film from June 2025. The pre-production is also on in full swing. Nag Ashwin has spoken to Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone and will finalise their dates soon. This makes it obvious that Deepika will return to work with Kalki 2898 AD. The movie’s shoot will continue for a year. This time, they have to fight a renewed version of the evil Supreme Yaskin played by Kamal Haasan.

Kalki 2898 AD will release in early 2027. It looks like both Spirit and Kalki 2898 AD will come in the same year. Nag Ashwin will need more than six months to complete the post-production work. The construction of the sets have already started in Ramoji City. Most of the shoot will be done indoors. Vyjayanthi Movies is bankrolling the project and Santosh Narayanan is the music composer. C Ashwini Dutt is the father-in-law of Nag Ashwin.
