Kajol marks 17 years of Fanaa: Aamir Khan's jacket, frozen lakes and reshooting the song
Kajol took to her social media account and shared some crazy anecdotes from their Fanaa shooting days.
As the iconic dialogue "Tere dil mein meri saanson ko panaah mil jaye ... tere ishq mein meri jaan fanaa ho jaye" continues to resonate with audiences even after 17 years, Kajol and Aamir Khan's blockbuster film Fanaa remains etched in our hearts. To commemorate this milestone, Kajol recently took to Instagram to share some cherished memories from their shooting days.
In her Instagram post, Kajol shared a video clip from Fanaa featuring the soulful song "Mere Haath Mein" playing in the background.
She expressed her gratitude to the fans for their love and wrote, "One of my oh so many 'comebacks,' but Zooni will always remain special to me simply because I just had to be me without my glasses. #Nerds rock! And since you guys loved my memories, let me give you some more."
Among the memories she shared, Kajol highlighted a challenging song shoot in snowy Poland. She revealed, "Poland was -27 degrees centigrade on the first day of shoot, and I was wearing a thin chiffon salwar kameez on a frozen lake with the wind chill factor aside... #AamirKhan, on the other hand, had bought himself a nice thick jacket from the local market just for the shoot." With playful rolling eyes emojis, she jokingly added, "So his face did not have the natural pain that was there on my frozen face!!" Adding to the saga, she revealed that the entire song had to be scrapped and reshot once they returned to Mumbai.
She said, "And the cherry on top of the whole scenario was that the whole song was scrapped and RESHOT when we got back to Mumbai!!🙏 Can we all just salute women and heroines all over the world who do these things and much worse just to look good!"
For those unaware, Fanaa marked the reunion of Kajol and Aamir Khan after their 1997 film Ishq, which also starred Kajol's husband Ajay Devgn and Juhi Chawla.
Recently, Aamir made a special cameo appearance in Kajol's 2022 film Salaam Venky. As fans celebrate 17 years of Fanaa, these behind-the-scenes revelations serve as a delightful reminder of the incredible efforts and camaraderie that went into creating this timeless cinematic gem.
