John Abraham, known for his role in "Satyameva Jayate," has voiced his concerns about the current state of the film industry. He criticizes the high fees demanded by actors and the inflated costs associated with their entourages, arguing that these practices are contributing to the industry's financial struggles. Abraham believes the industry is "bleeding" and urges actors to consider pay cuts and active participation in the backend of filmmaking to help revitalize it.“It’s already hurting Hindi cinema," John Abraham told The Hollywood Reporter.
At this point of time, we shouldn’t be paying people to act in films because we don’t justify those huge budgets. The huge fees that we get paid, and we can’t load a film with entourage costs as well. It’s ridiculous. Don’t know if actors are thinking this way or is it their agent making them think differently. I understand you are put in a bubble, but you can’t be so daft. You need to see the real world. If people are blowing sunshine from your backside, you need to wake up and smell the coffee. As an industry, we are really suffering

An actor has criticized the high fees charged by stylists in the film industry, claiming they charge up to Rs 2 lakh per day. He believes this exorbitant cost is a contributing factor to the industry's financial struggles. “First thing to make amends is by cutting your personal cost. When a director tells you that you aren’t worth that much, you need to take that in cognizance. We don’t have that thought yet. We compare ourselves to other actors, and we want to broadcast our fees, and that’s the worst thing to do," explained John.
John Abraham, known for his role in "Jism," has expressed concern for the film industry, urging actors to recognize the "deep black hole" they are steadily sinking into. He believes artists should actively participate in the backend of filmmaking and that their profits should be tied to the film's box office performance. "How much more will you suck the system dry?" he questioned, highlighting his worry for the industry's financial well-being.
Abraham, who recently starred in "Vedaa" alongside Sharvari, will next be seen in "Housefull 5."
