Jeetendra cancels Annual Diwali Bash due to dear friend Rishi Kapoor's sad demise!

Many Bollywood celebrities have decided to keep their Diwali celebrations ‘low-key’ owing to the current coronavirus situation in the country. The nation has also seen a major setback this year, after the Bollywood a sad demise of many prominent personalities. Meanwhile, Rishi Kapoor’s death was a major blow to the entire industry and his friend Jeetendra has decided that there will no Diwali bash this year; confirmed his son Tusshar Kapoor.

An IANS report quoted Tusshar Kapoor who spoke about the reason behind canceling the much talked about Diwali bash which sees almost everyone from the industry. 

He informed that the family has decided not to host a bash this year due to the sad demise of father Jeetendra’s dear and close friend Rishi Kapoor in April 2020.  

Unlike every year, there will be no big Diwali bash at our residence because of the sad demise of our very dear family friend, Rishi Kapoor ji, and of course the pandemic.

He further mentioned that the family members will be spending time with one another due to the same. 

“This Diwali is indeed a happy Diwali but with a difference, where minimalism will take precedence. However, the fervor will be kept alive as we will spend it at home with our family,” added the actor. 

On the other hand, several Bollywood celebrities have decided to keep their Diwali bash low-key or cancel them altogether.
