Star Plus' cherished series "Teri Meri Doriyaann" has captivated audiences' hearts from the very beginning. The intricate story of the Monga sisters and the Brar brothers has consistently enthralled viewers, keeping them eagerly anticipating each new episode. However, recent plot twists have left fans in utter disbelief.
Jatin Arora, portraying the character of Veer Brar, recently announced his departure from the ongoing show, citing health reasons as his priority. During an exclusive interview with India Forums, Jatin delved into the challenges he faced while portraying Veer, discussed his support system, and revealed the unexpected success of Veer and Keerat's joint performance at the Star Parivaar Awards, despite not being televised, which garnered millions of views.
Jatin Arora, on talking about his exit from the show, the actor says, "I'm fully satisfied and ready to move on. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would be able to portray such a range of characters on this show. First, he is a singer, a positive character, a true companion to his 'Ram.' Then, he falls in love, becomes a singing sensation, but then descends into drug addiction, commits rape, and engages in physical violence. My goodness, I feel like I've done it all (Laughs)."
Was it challenging for you to shift from positive to negative?
It was very challenging on the first day, and I really had the back of my good friend Himanshi (Sahiba). I was very scared because for one year, Veer had maintained a positive image, and suddenly transitioning into a negative one was daunting. I was so stressed that I used to visit Sahiba's makeup room frequently and ask her to rehearse my scenes. I would practice my lines with her to gain confidence. She used to calm me down, assuring me that everything would go smoothly, and she gave me a lot of confidence. The last scene, where I was dragged to the rehab centre, was very challenging. This shot continued for two days, and my voice is still gone (Laughs).

When asked if Himanshi was his biggest support system, the actor reveals, "Not only Himanshi, but everyone is a support system. However, Himanshi is like my best friend, and even Manbeer is like a mother figure. It seems like she is repaying a debt from a past life by being my mother. Everyone on set knows how much she loves me. Additionally, everyone else takes care of me on the sets. My god! The best thing I will miss is the homecooked food I used to get from everyone. Manbeer, Jasleen, and Gurleen, everyone used to bring food for me."

What would you like to say to Veer-Keerat's fans?
Oh, it's quite disheartening, especially for them. The recent Instagram post featuring Veer and Keerat on "Ranjha Ranjha" has sparked a flurry of messages and shares from fans. Seeing all this interaction fills me with immense joy. Viewers have been eagerly awaiting the blossoming love story of Veer and Keerat. Additionally, our joint performance at the Star Parivaar Awards, though not telecasted, garnered millions of views after I posted it on Instagram.

Considering what Veer did to Keerat, I don't think anyone should forgive him easily. However, in the world of serials, anything can happen.
Joining Jatin Arora in exiting the series 'Teri Meri Doriyaann' is Prachi Hada, known for her role as Keerat.

Veer Keerat had the most potential story among 3 couples in TMD. But they are spoiled beyond repair. I am glad the actors are out of this mess. Hope to see Jatin Arora & Prachi Hada as leads in some other shows or web series. They are talented and deserves lead roles.
