For people across the country, it is going to be a low-key Eid al-Fitr since the country is currently under the fourth consecutive lockdown owing to the global pandemic. There won't be any iftar parties, communal prayers, and the traditional fare that one often witnesses during Eid.
Jannat Zubair Rahmani is one of the most prominent celebrities who has a huge fan following on her social media and is highly praised for phenomenal acting. However, the actress will not be celebrating Eid this year.
Talking to India Forums, Jannat revealed that, "We are not celebrating Eid this year and none of us are wearing new clothes or making sheer because it’s not a happy phase for our country. People are falling sick, facing financial issues and are literally struggling to meet their families. I don’t think this is the year to celebrate Eid when I see so many people are in trouble. All we can do is to pray that everything goes back to normal and I hope that we don’t have to see a year like 2020 ever again in the coming future."
