Zee TV’s show Jamai Raja starring Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma was a huge success. Years later, the channel is back with Jamai No.1: Jo apne hi andaaz mein sabko sudhaarega! The rom-com is about a ghar jamai who navigates his relationship with a mother and daughter who have interesting dynamics of their own. In Indian households, a jamai is treated with a lot of respect and reverence. We have shy sons-in law and arrogant ones. The show is about a son-in-law who enters a household and shakes up things in his own way.

Abhishek Malik is playing Neel Paranjape in Jamai No. 1. He is from Nashik and raised in a close-knit God-fearing home. His father is a priest at the Trimbakeshwar Temple. Neel wants to carve his own destiny in life. Armed with charm, jugaad, and an irresistible wit, Neel has a way of handling situations that’s unconventional yet always effective.

Actress Simaran Kaur is playing the role of Riddhi Chotwani. She is a successful businesswoman who holds her cards close to her chest. Chotwani believes her silence is her strength. Riddhi has the drive to take the family’s winery business to the top. However, the household is governed by Kanchan played by actress Papia Sengupta. When the two meet, sparks and their spirited banters are full of humour.

He meets a worthy adversary in Kanchan, Riddhi’s mother. The two fight it out non-stop as Riddhi tries to fit in.
