Jacqueline Fernandez petitions Delhi HC against money laundering allegations in Sukesh Chandrasekhar's case

In a recent twist to the ongoing Sukesh Chandrasekhar money laundering case, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has taken a significant step by petitioning the Delhi High Court to quash the FIR and supplementary chargesheet filed against her by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The actress, who was earlier summoned in connection with the case, claims that the law enforcement agency has displayed biased behavior throughout the investigation.

According to reports, Jacqueline Fernandez contends in her appeal that the evidence presented by the ED establishes her innocence and, in fact, paints her as a victim of Sukesh Chandrasekhar's alleged wrongdoings. The actress asserts that there is no indication of her involvement in aiding Chandrasekhar in the money laundering case, making her exempt from prosecution under Sections 3 and 4 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

Reports suggest that Jacqueline Fernandez, in her plea to the Delhi High Court, highlights the lack of evidence tying her to any wrongdoing, emphasizing that she should not be treated as an accused. The actress argues that the ED's actions have been partial and prejudiced, alleging that she has been unfairly targeted in the course of their investigation.
