"It's amazing to be a part of Sasural Simar Ka"

The talented actor Rohit Khurana who has entertained the audience with his acting skills, is now seen in Rashmi Sharma's popular daily soap Sasural Simar Ka on Colors. On the same we got in touch with Rohit Khurana, to know on how is it being a part of the show Sasural Simar Ka, his character, his take on reality shows and much more.

Here it is what he said...

When we asked Rohit about how does it feel to be a part of the show Sasural Simar Ka, he said, "It's amazing to be a part of Rashmi Sharma's daily soap Sasural Simar Ka. It is not a cameo role, it is very much a continuous role and I have started enjoying shooting for the same already. The entire cast and the production house have accepted me with arms wide open."

Rohit says that shooting for Sasural Simar Ka takes him to the memories of shooting for the show Uttaran which airs on Colors, "Shooting for Sasural Simar Ka has taken me back to my Uttaran days. My character in that show was somewhat similar too, but not fully. Overall, I am very happy that I got to do this show."

The role of Shaurya which he portrays in the show Sasural Simar Ka is the role that he has never attempted before, "I haven't played this kind of role earlier. I have got lot of shades to portray in this show and I am enjoying my character very much as I have been given the freedom to portray the role. In real life I am a very reserved person. It is a grey shade character for now, but you never know what will it turn out to be later. You have to watch the show for it (smiles)."

Well as we know that an actor's life is too busy, and this is no different for Rohit too. He says that he never used to not watch the show Sasural Simar Ka before he signed it, "Being an actor you hardly get any time to watch any show on television. Honestly, I did not watch the show Sasural Simar Ka before I signed the contract. After I signed the contract I started following the show. It gave me an idea about all the characters on the show and helped me later too while shooting."

All the shows that he has done so far, he got to play different characters, "In fact if you see in my previous shows, none of the characters that I have portrayed are same. In Uttaran, I played a rich boy who was a drug addict, in the show Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat, I was a very controlled guy and in Sasural Simar Ka, I play a rich boy who has the freedom of whatever he wishes to do in life and is a spoiled brat. So each time I have taken up something new. All the shows that I have done so far have been very memorable for me and I have got to explore my acting skills with each show. Hope it continues in the future too. I get different opportunities as I love trying different things. It makes the audience happy too."

Talking about reality shows, he says that they are good in their own way, "Reality shows are good in their own way. The audience loves watching reality shows too be it Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Nach Baliye, Bigg Boss or any other reality show on television."

He would be happy to take up reality shows if he is approached, says Rohit, "By far I haven't been approached for the upcoming season of the dance reality show Nach Baliye. But if I am offered I would love to be a part of it."

Well, it would be a treat to watch Rohit Khurana shake a leg on the dance floor.
