Mahesh Bhatt

Renowned Producer and Director, Mahesh Bhatt is known for his films like Saaransh, Arth, Naam and Gangster among several others. Though there were reports about a web series based on his life being in the works, Bhatt has finally confirmed the news and made an official announcement regarding the same on social media.

The Producer has collaborated with Reliance’s Jio Studio to foray into digital space. He will be bringing a dramatic web series for Jio Cinema based on the relationship of 'a struggling filmmaker' and 'a top Bollywood actress' of the 70’s era. His tweet hints at the remake of his previous films - Arth and Woh Lamhe, both of them were based on Bhatt’s controversial and (in)famous extramarital affair with yesteryear actress, Parveen Babi, who had a tragic life story.

Sharing about the project, Bhatt wrote, “A perfect beginning. Happy partnering with @jiostudios on our digital debut!A dramatic web series based in 70s Bollywood exploring the relationship of a struggling filmmaker & a top actress of that era! The greatest location in the world is the human heart.@VisheshFilms @JioCinema.”
