Instagram’s Special Tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput: converts actor's account into a Memorialized account!

Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise caused a huge uproar in the industry and fans have raised their voice against the injustice, bullying and Nepotism in Bollywood. It seems even Instagram has hear the cries as they officials decided to pay homage to the late actor.

Now, Instagram paid a special tribute to Sushant and converted his official account into a Memorialized account. 

For the uninitiated, Memorialized accounts are a place to remember someone's life after they've passed away. These accounts also hold some key features and in a way these also pay homage and hold importance in remembering the deceased. 

The account process on some pre-designed factors including 

1- No one can log into a memorialized account.

2- The word Remembering will be shown next to the person's name on their profile.

3- Posts the deceased person shared, including photos and videos, stay on Instagram and are visible to the audience they were shared with.

4- Memorialized accounts don't appear in certain places on Instagram, like Explore

5- Once memorialized, no one will be able to make changes to any of the account's existing posts or information. 

Which also means no changes can be made whatsoever to the account. Photos or videos added by the person to their profile cannot be removed. Comments on posts shared by the person to their profile cannot be disabled, Privacy settings of their profile cannot be changed and the current profile photo, followers or people the person follows will not be changed.

Meanwhile, it seems fan’s prayers have been answered and many are happy with the recent action adopted by Instagram.
