15th August, the Indian Independence Day marks the freedom of our county and the people. The people who have made this day possible are our Late Freedom Fighters who sacrificed their lives to gift us a life free from the daunting British Raj. On this special day, we will celebrate the Independence Week where we will get in touch with Telly Celebs to share their feelings about this precious day.

We spoke to Adaa Khan to share her thoughts about the Independence Day

What does Independence Day mean to you?

Independence day marks the freedom of our country and people, a day to salute the freedom fighters for their contribution and a day to be proud about.

Your favorite freedom fighter?

It is unfair to choose one, I adore all them since it is because of them today that we are free. Salute and respect to them whole heatedly.

Your favorite patriotic song?

'Aee mere vatan ke logo, zara aankh mai bhar lo paani, jo shahid huye hai unki zara yaad karo kurbaani..'

The difference between celebrating Independence Day as a child and now when you're grown up?

Celebrating Independence Day in school was really exciting but now don't get to do what all was done during those days: the march past, singing patriotic songs, pinning the flag on the uniform and getting sweets from teachers, memories are cherished. As grown ups today we just go to hoist the flag with the society members but this day makes us feel proud to be an Indian.
