Soon viewers will see the launch of a show that will focus on an offbeat subject, the reservation quota that has been formed by the Government for the upliftment of the backward classes. The show titled 'Aarakshan' will be produced by a new production house, RG Media and Entertainment.
Noted Directors Ravidra Gautam and Keval Sethi will produce the show along with famous writer Kamal Pandey who presently is the writer of the popular show on COLORS, Na Aana Is Des Laado.
Our source tells us, "Most of the cast on the show, including the leads are new faces. Rahoul Lohani and Muni Jha will be playing important roles".
We hear that Rahoul Lohani will be playing a challenging role, where he is pitted opposite the male lead. Rahuol will play a young guy from the upper class who feels miserable on losing opportunities due to the presence of the quota system. On the other hand, the male lead will be portrayed as a guy who is from the backward class and benefits from the reservation system that prevails.
Our source further tells us, "The show will depict both sides of the coin. Viewers will be told a story that will focus on the lives of the upper class as well as the lower class, and how the reservation policy affects their lives".
We talked to Rahoul Lohani to know more on the show, but he refused to comment.
Muni Jha confirmed his presence in the show, and said, "I can only tell you that this show is something very different. You will have to wait to know more on the story".
We tried calling Saurabh Tewari, Programming Head, Imagine but he refused to comment.
We tried talking to both Ravindra Gautam and Kewal Sethi, who accepted that they are making a show for Imagine, but refused to divulge details..
We hear that the unit is planning an outdoor shoot at a place close to Bhopal. The promo of the show will hit the screen in 2-3 days time..
Let's see what difference this show brings when it comes to the mindset of viewers…
