Jeetu Malkani who was last seen in Balaji's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki is now ready for daily. He entered Sahara One's Ghar Ek Sapna...

Jeetu Malkani who was last seen in Balaji’s Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki is back from break. The handsome lad has entered Sahara One’s Ghar Ek Sapna as a parallel lead. Another new entrant Nidhi Tiwari will be seen opposite him.

“After Kahani I was on a break due to ill health but now I’m back,” says Jeetu.

Elaborating on his character he explains, “Ahaan is a U.S. return guy and a family friend of Alok Nath’s family. His roots are from India but from past eight years he has been staying abroad and is much influenced by the western culture. My character also has a comic touch when it comes to speaking in Hindi, especially the phrases. Ahaan ends up mixing the two phrases which at the end turns comic in the show.”

There is a love track between you and Nidhi in the show. “Ya there will be a love track between me and Mritika (Nidhi). Initially we keep fighting but later on these tiffs will eventually turn into love which will bring a big twist in the tale,” he quips.

Aftre Kahanii… why not another Balaji’s show? It’s been heard that you had a fall off with Balaji and thus replaced from Kahaani. “It’s not true. I left Kahaani… due to my ill health. As you know I was suffering from jaundice so they arranged for a replacement. I got offers from Balaji for a lead role in Kis Desh Main Hai Mera Dil but could not take it,” chirps the actor.

“At that point of time I was not ready for a main stream show on TV as it’s very hectic. Even my health did not permit me to do a daily so I took a break of 3-4 months. To keep my self active I took few episodics,” he adds further.

Talking about his relation with Ekta he speaks, “I and Ekta share a good rapport. Even my wife is working with Balaji, Archana Bhatt as Pragati in Kahaani… I’m still in touch with Balaji and there are no grudges in the relation. I took Ghar… as the concept, script and my character were good.”

Jeetu believes in one show at a time. Let’s see if this change in track brings some raise in the TRP’s of the show too!
