IIFA 2018: Nawazuddin Siddiqui dedicates his award to Sridevi!!

Nawaz won the Best actor in supporting role male and he gave the honor to Sridevi by dedicating the award to her.


Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui won the IIFA 2018 award for Best Supporting Actor male for his work in the movie 'Mom'. The actor, however, gave an honor to his co-star in the movie, Sridevi and dedicated the award to her. Sridevi also won the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) award for Best actor in leading role female, posthumously.
A day after the award, Nawaz tweeted,"It was once in a lifetime opportunity to work with the first female superstar Sridevi and I dedicate my award as a tribute to her," It is Nawaz's humility and respect for the actress that he is dedicated his award to her. The movie, Mom was a story penned by Sajal Ali, was an intense drama where a mom avenges her step daughter. The movie was brilliantly directed by Ravi Udyawar and Sridevi gathered many accolades for her performance.

He made sure that he highlighted the legendary actress from whom he received his award. He mentioned Rekha ji in his post as well and said that she stole the show. He looked dapper in a suit when he accepted his award from the evergreen beauty. The award for Sridevi was collected by Bonney Kapoor, her husband. He came to collect the trophy with a heavy heart and was choked on words.
