Bollywood actor R. Madhvan is currently on a promotional spree for his upcoming science drama Rocketry. Now at Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting hosted a special screening of R Madhavan's upcoming movie "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect."
The Rocketry crew, led by writer, producer, and director R. Madhavan, who also serves as the film's main protagonist and is making his directorial debut, was present at the screening. Senior authorities, including former IG CBI P.M. Nair and former Director CBI D. R. Karthikeyan, attended the screening.
R. Madhavan, who was speaking at the event, said that the movie is a celebration of India's technical supremacy in the IT and space industries.
The film is based on the story of Nambi Narayanan, a real-life scientist who was accused of espionage in 1994. He was a former scientist and aerospace engineer with the Indian Space Research Organization. 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' had its world premiere at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Standing ovations for the movie were given at the Cannes Film Festival.
Speaking on the occasion, Apurva Chandra, Secretary, I&B said that the film is not only gripping, but also touches the hearts of the audience. He added that the film pays tribute to the thousands of scientists, including Nambi Narayanan, who have dedicated their entire life to the achievements of India’s space programme.
Former IG CBI P.M. Nair said that the film is entertaining, captivating, and very meaningful. It is a perfect combination of science, technology and emotion, he added. The film would be welcomed not only in India, but across the world.
